The Enugu State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Hon. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has stated that his administration will utilize all new digital technologies and data in governance.

Speaking at the meeting convened at the Old Government Lodge which had in attendance all Permanent Secretaries and Information Technology Officers of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State; the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidi Onyia noted that in other to achieve the 3 point vision of this administration which is: to make Enugu State the top three investment hub, Move the State revenue from N4.4 billion to N30 billion and to eliminate poverty; digital transformation in governance is the key.

In his words, Prof. Onyia hinted that through digital technologies the State government will transform organizational processes, collaborate with stakeholders to realize public values (transparency, fairness, equity and effectiveness), build a new framework for public service delivery in real-time and help to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in a subnational level.
He however said that the essence of the meeting is to urge the Permanent Secretaries as the change agents to internalize this vision and begin to think differently on how to integrate their various work processes and activities into digital technology.
Wrapping up the event, the Head of Service, Mr. Ken Chukwuegbo on behalf of the Permanent Secretaries expressed their elated gratitude to the State Government for opting for digital transformation in governance, assuring that the Office of the Head of Service will work tirelessly with all the Permanent Secretaries to actualize this vision.
