The new Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Enugu State, Hon. Barr. Chris Robert Ozongwu has assumed duty on Tuesday few hours after being sworn-in by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on Monday at the State Government House.
Hon. Ozongwu during the first familiarization meeting with the Staff of the Ministry which started with a short opening prayer emphasized that he has come to serve the State Government not just as a Commissioner for Budget and Planning but also as an agent of change. He noted that with his wealth of knowledge and expertise having practiced in the United Kingdom for years; he is committed to improving on planning and realistic budgetary processes. He however added that this would not be achieved without hard work and team spirit.
In response, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Planning; Mrs. Clara Nwakaego Ezeh on behalf of the entire Staff excitedly welcomed the new Commissioner adding that it’s a great delight to work with him. She however assured him of unwavering support needed for the effective actualization of the positive change expected.
As part of the familiarization meeting, Mrs. Ezeh led the Honourable Commissioner on a tour to all the offices/ departments in the Ministry.
